FuJae Partners (an alliance firm of McGuireWoods) is pleased to announce that Frances Xu has joined the firm as a partner. Her arrival marks a significant enhancement of FuJae’s capabilities in serving multinational clients navigating complex competition and regulatory landscapes in China and globally.
Ms. Xu brings more than a decade of experience in antitrust and competition law, shaped by her work in leading international law firms—including her earlier practice in the Herbert Smith Freehills—her tenure at the United Nations focusing on global competition policy issues, and her continued engagement in academic and regulatory research. This background gives her a distinctly international perspective and deep insight into both enforcement approaches and industry dynamics.
She has an established record of achievements, most recently being recognized by The Legal 500 as a Leading Partner in Antitrust and shortlisted for the Legal 500 China Awards 2025. Her expertise and track record will add substantial value to clients of FuJae and its network.
In her new role, Ms. Xu will lead the firm’s competition teams. She will oversee an integrated, full-spectrum antitrust and competition practice spanning domestic and cross-border matters, including antitrust investigations, antitrust litigation, merger control, compliance advisory work, and multi-jurisdictional competition analysis.
